Johannes SCHRAM and wife moved from York Co., Pa. to Westmoreland County about 1772, and were pioneer settlers at Brush Creek, near Irwin. I have most of this family catalogued (7500 SHRUM and SCHRUM descendents in a data base). If your line connects, I can assist in confirming the connection and providing additional information.

Dear John:

Saw your post, and thought I'd answer it. How are you? We have had some health problems, but we hope the are improving. Best to you both. Hooray for Westmoreland Co.!

A machinist with ties to Westm'd can utilize the equipment at his place of employment to manufacture that piece. However, a suitable blueprint showing the part is necessary to accomplish this task without delay. Lacking a print, there is enough engineering expertise here to take what remains and make a part to match. This would require that you ship me the parts which attach, so a suitable piece can be devised, machined, and fitted.

John:

You mentioned when you visited my home, of the possibility of helping me with a brass connection for the transit I gave to my son. Is the offer still good, and, if so, how shall I proceed?

Clover,

I will be glad to exchange information with you. John Shrum and Eliza Sloan were my g-g-g grandparents. I am a descendant through their son Henry and his daughter Elizabeth. I will get my Shrum information together and send you what I have. I will also be glad to share Sloan information with you. I am looking forward to hearing from you.
