Times-Mirror: 1 Apr 1936: Thomas Gibson, well-known resident of Brokenstraw township, passed away at his home at 5:40 o'clock April 1, after a short illness. Mr. Gibson was born February 14, 1854, near Pittsburgh. While a boy, he came to Warren County, where he spent his remaining years. He is survived by the following children: Mrs. Will Dingfelder, Corry; Floyd Gibson, Alliance, Ohio; Leon Gibson, Youngstown, O; Mrs. Raymond Shank, Enterprise; Paul Gibson, Youngsville; Mrs. Tom Bowers and LaVerne Gibson, Pittsfield; also one brother and one sister, Robert Gibson and Mrs. Margaret Chambers, Pittsfield, 18 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was highly esteemed and had a host of friends who will miss him.

Funeral services were held at the Free Methodist church in Youngsville at 2 o'clock April 4, preceded by a prayer service at the family home. Internment was in the Davy Hill cemetery.

In the Obit, Mrs. Raymond Shank was named Elsie (Gibson) Shank, my great aunt had no children but adopted my two aunts Marcia Bower and Shirley Bower, Mrs. Tom Bower was named Eunice (Gibson) Bower and was my grandmother they had Robert, Marge, Shirley, Ralph, Arthur, Albert, Raymond, Betty, Marcia, Patricia, Kenneth, Richard, Nancy, and Donald, Laverne Gibson was my great uncle and lived in Enterprise, and had a family which I still have cousins still around. The others would be my great aunts and uncles but they are before my time and didn't here much about them.
