Gibson, well-known resident of Brokenstraw township, passed away at his home at 5:40 o'clock April 1, after a short illness. Mr. Gibson was born February 14, 1854, near Pittsburgh. While a boy, he came to
Warren County, where he spent his remaining years. He is survived by the following children: Mrs. Will
Dingfelder, Corry; Floyd
Gibson, Alliance, Ohio; Leon
Gibson, Youngstown, O; Mrs. Raymond
Shank, Enterprise; Paul
Gibson, Youngsville; Mrs. Tom
Bowers and
LaVerne Gibson, Pittsfield; also one brother and one sister, Robert
Gibson and Mrs. Margaret
Chambers, Pittsfield, 18 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was highly esteemed and had a host of friends who will miss him.
Funeral services were held at the Free Methodist church in Youngsville at 2 o'clock April 4, preceded by a prayer service at the family home. Internment was in the
Davy Hill cemetery.
