Hi,

I am searching for my ancestor's parents. Her name was Matilda Klick, also Click and Glick. She was born 22 December 1828 in Union or Mifflin County (possibly in an area now in Snyder County). I know there are a good number of Glicks and Klicks there, but I have been unable to connect her to any of them.

Matilda married Joseph A. Smith (parents also unknown, born 19 August 1828 in Union Co.). They were married on 23 January 1849 in Swinesfordtown (now Middleburg, Snyder Co.). They moved to Ohio shortly afterwards, living in Marion, Morrow, and Sandusky counties. They had nine children: Benjamin, Charles Edson, Sarah Jane, Amanda, Mary Elizabeth, Clara Viola, Joseph Henry, John Dilknow, and Luzetta Alwilda. Matilda died on 3 February 1913 in Clyde, Sandusky Co..

I know that Matilda had a fairly close relative named Henry C. Klick/Glick. He was born in Pennsylvania about 1832 and moved to Ohio sometime before 1860, settling in Sandusky County. He met Matilda's husband Joseph "about 1850". Henry married Susan Diebler of Center Township, Union Co., on 7 March 1872 in Pennsylvania. They lived in Sandusky County until their deaths.

I have checked out a number of books, family trees, etc., but I can't seem to find a female born at the right time who is not already accounted for. Any idea would be very much appreciated.
