LDS records show a Georg Stoler, son of Heinrich and Sarah Stoler, as being christened June 13, 1819 at the Botschaft Church. This is the first tie I have been able to find for a George Stoler that married Mary Arnold, daughter of Casper and Mary Puff Arnold.

I would like to speak with anyone that has an in depth knowledge of the church's records. Does the church still exist and do they take research requests?

I live near Botschaft's (Grubb's) church in Chapman Twp. Snyder co. PA. The church just celebrated it's 225th anniversary. The cemetery is well kept. As far as someone there doing look-ups I am not sure. The Snyder co. Historical Society may be able to help you. There is also a Snyder co. Web site that has a great deal of information. The book Snyder co. Pioneers by Fisher mentions a Casper Arnold Sr. and some other Arnold family members. I have a number of reference books at home but don't get a lot of spare time for lookups for others. If I come across anything in my own search I can post to you again.

Could someone please give me directions to Grubbs Cemetery? Directions from Selingsgrove would be helpful. I plan to be in that area in the next couple weeks. Thanks in advance.

I have the book, Early Pennsylvania Births, 1675-1875 by Charles A. Fisher. In the section covering the records for Grubb's (Botschaft) Lutheran Church, I find two listings for parents Henry and Sarah Stohler;

Parents -- Child -- Birthdate
Stohler, Henry and Sarah -- George -- 9/25/1818

Sponsors
Andrew and Anna Maria Shetterly

Parents -- Child -- Birthdate
Stohler, Henry and Sarah -- Lydia -- 4/8/1820

Sponsors
Andrew and Anna Maria Shetterly

hopefully, this helps you

Directions to Grubb's: 5 miles south of Selinsgrove, make right at small independent gas station. Cross over "old route 11-15", stay on this road (Winding road) for 2.5 miles. At stop sign make hard right. Go 2 miles, Church and Cemetery on left.

I read in a posting that you have the book Early Pennsylvania Births, 1675-1875 by Charles A. Fisher. I am looking for information on the Teeter family. I have found connections in Northampton, Bucks, and Monroe counties with possible links in nearby counties. Do you mind checking for any mention of the Teeter family in the book? (Alternate spellings: Teetor and Dieter are most common.)

Thanks for the help.

I did not find a Teetor of Dieter at all in this book. There are, however, several listings in Snyder County for a Treaster family.
If this sounds familiar, let me know, I will transcribe them for you
