Hi everyone,
I am trying to find out about the death dates and burial location of my great-great-grandparents, Gerardo Rubertone and Angela Petruzzi.
They moved to the US from Italy around 1886, and I believe lived in Philadelphia until Angela died in 1889 or 1890. Gerardo remarried and moved to Hammonton, New Jersey some time before 1900 with his children. He died some time after 1930 (he is on the 1930 census).
I went to Hammonton and looked around the cemetery and could not find him buried there -- so I think it is probable that he is buried with his first wife, Angela, probably in Philadelphia, in a Catholic cemetery (Holy Cross?).
Is there any chance anyone could help with finding their grave? Would the Catholic cemeteries have directories of tombstones? I have tried all the online databases of headstones and they aren't there -- I understand Holy Cross cemetery is very large and only a tiny fraction of the graves are on grave finding web sites. I'm very far from Philadelphia so I would really appreciate any help, if anyone happens to be going to the cemetery or has any other tips for finding this information.
Many thanks!
Mark
