I recently came across my adoption decree and have reason to believe that I was at St Vincent's prior to my adoption. I vaguely remember my father mentioning St Vincent's, and it's location near the river. I was born 2/22/1961, and baptized 3/28/1961 at the Church of St Clement. I was placed for adoption in August of 1961. My birth name was Phyllis Marie Conard. I have contacted catholic social services, and they do have my record, but I was told that there may not be much information since it was so many years ago. So before I send any money, I thought I would do some research on my own first. I am also awaiting the hopeful passing of PA HB 162 to obtain my original birth certificate. I would be most appreciative of any information to help me in my quest. I have recently read "The girls who went away" and wow, what an eye opener!
