Hello all with ties to St Vincent's of Philadelphia. I recently came across my adoption decree, and have recently read "The girls who went away". All I can say is wow, what an eye opener! I was born 2/22/1961, and baptized at St Clements 3/28/1961. I was placed for adoption in August of 1961. My birth name was Phyllis Marie Conard. I have contacted catholic social services, but am currently waiting to see if HB 162 passes to get my original birth certificate. It would be wonderful to know my background, and health history to pass on to my children. Any information would be appreciated. I look forward to any feedback.
