Call the Archdiocese, restate your situation and if necessary, COMPLAIN........!
It's been a few years since I've been there. They had a skeleton staff then. Told me I had to contact the Archdiocese for any info. I was looking for the original entries in the books. Was told they would fax me copies, which they did for $25.00. They are entering them into the computer for least effort on their behalf, but I don't trust the transcribers. Case in point is Holy Cross: the input form/screen must not allow for months in the case of an infant. If the infant passed away at say two months, the print-out reads two years, Sometimes the transcriber thinking outside the box will rationalize if there's no place for months I'll leave it blank. Also had the oldest member of a family who died in 1896 show up as being buried in 1986.
Besides, I'm from Missouri, show me! Not really but I am a doubting Thomas.
Hopefully you'll get a understanding employee............
Good Luck
