Yes, I see a number of mistakes, more than likely typos. According to his pension files, he left a widow and then a minor, is that correct? [Catherine Willingmyre & C. Branchetts]

As for findagrave.com, you could contact the gentleman who made the entry and ask for his source. As for the findagrave.com upload from VA files, that's indicative of a SNAFU.

The Quartermaster card was remade in 1954, the one showing Vermont Marble Co.

You could always go to the Veterans Administration and ask for their assistance. Explain your dilemma and the uncertainty.

As for the tombstone coming so late, my grandfather was in the Spanish-American War. He passed in 1934. If I ever get off my butt, he'll get his tombstone from the VA. [2013/2014]
