I'm not sure of the volume of the church's records, but I know they exist to some extent. Last year my wife & I took photos of family gravestones (Sweger) at the church cemetery. While there, a man and a woman were locking up the churh (she was a local librarian) and we asked them about records. She said that most of the old church documents were recently turned over to a local historical society (Perry County, I assume). She said she thought the society was largely a volunteer organization ... and because it was a Sunday afternoon, she doubted that anyone would be available to help us. Being from out of state we never followed up. I did, however, find a mailing address for the society: P.O. Box 81, Newport, PA 17074.
