I found a site that has downloads of family and local histories. They had a decent selection of family and local history books. Thought this might help. www.genealogyauthor.com

Good luck with your search.
According to my family records, Mary A Dzienisiewicz married Joseph Bzura, and they lived in Coal Township, Northumberland, PA during the 1910s and 1920s (I have both census records).

I am a descendant of Joseph and Mary, and I have a great deal of information about the Bzura family. However, I have no information about the Dzienisiewicz family - in particular Mary's parents.

I have included information about the Bzura family, and would appreciate any one who can share information about the Dzienisiewicz family.

Thank you,
Ben Coleman
coleman75@gmail.com

Joseph BZURA
b. 4 Jan 1882, Jancrewo, Poland
d. 7 Oct 1963
& Mary A.
I am looking for any Rupp burials in the Mt. Carmel area.

My aunt was married to a Rupp and I noticed that his family hasn't been researched at all.

Any Rupps at all could be helpful, so I don't want to make a list just yet.

Thanks in advance.

I am trying to read the name of an undertaker on a death certificate. I cannot make it out completely. The first name is of a doctor J.F. xxxxfield, and then the second is of the undertakers name at the bottom. It looks like John "something" and Sons. Both have addresses listed as Portage PA, and the certificate is from November 1906

Does anyone have a list of Dr.s or Undertakers that could possibly be a match?

I have as the parents of Wilhelm Schlegel John Christian Schlegel and wife Anna Barbara Vogel. This John Christian was born in 1744. His son, Christian was born in 1765, but I have him marrying an Anna Maria. John Christian also had a son John born in 1768. There seems to be some confusion on this line due to several marriages. John Christian b. 1744 I have as marrying 3 times - once to Catharine Conrad, once to Anna Barbara Vogel and once to Esther Angstadt. Would be interesting to clear up the confusion and get to the real story. My grandfather Slagle always said there was Indian blood in the family. Don't know if it was the Schlegel side or not.

I'm descended from George DELP (1762-1838), No. 14 on the Ahnentafel chart you provided. I have seen reports from other researchers that say George DELPS's wife is Catherine Elizabeth MOYER. I would love to know what the sourced is for her name. Dp you know? - I descend from their daughter Lydia DELP who married Michael THOMAS. Fee free to email me at bevart(at)frontiernet(dot)net, if you wish. ~Thank you, Bev

These men are my grandfather and great grandfather. I am searching for any information and photographs of this family. They lived in and around Shamokin and Sunbury, Pa. I have hit a dead end and need some clues as to their history. The family is well documented except for this particular branch. I will be glad to share information that I have on earlier or later family.
Pat

Sounds like the same Jane Robson Dunn. Verbal family history has it that my grandmother's family came from England and Jane Robson Dunn died from a fire (in the fire or after?). My grandmother and her siblings where raised and later adopted by her maternal grandmother. Until now, I had not been able to find any info on Harry Dunn.

Yes it is. She was the 1st wife of our Henry Dunn son of Philip Dunn and Mary A. Carr. Their marriage is part of a long line of Dunn's that we traced back to England. It's been a while since I dug into this stuff. I will answer your questions the best I can if you can bear with me.

Davis, of Valley Township, Columbia county.
I believe they are descendants of Griffith John but cannot find all the documentation to fill in the gaps.

Part of the confusion may be because of the county changes at that time......Northumberland....Columbia (by 1813).....Montour (by 1870).

Kim

Do you have a record somewhere in the Shamokin area for a Beatrice Lynch?

One of John's sisters was named Beatrice and a grandson named Elwood Lynch can be found in the Alex Forceski household in 1930. Beatrice is the only one old enough to have had a child five years old.

A reference online pointed to an Alex Lynch as the husband, but he was already married to a Kathryn for 10 years that would have been born five years earlier than Beatrice. So she must have been married to some other Lynch.

I am looking for info for any Forcheski / Forceski burials in and around the Shamokin area.

Two people in particular that I am looking for are a John Forceski / Forcheski and his wife, Luella / Louella. However, others are welcome.

Luella (Geistwite) Forceski was my grandmother's aunt. Both her and her husband died rather young. John may have been born in 1910 and died, as the story goes, in a "pocket" mine around 1940. Luella was also born about 1910 and is said to have died of possible stomach cancer around 1942. Oddly, she died in a house that would later become a homestead for my father's family.

Luella's son, Eugene, born before the marriage and not connected to John Forceski, says she and John were buried up in Shamokin. I have been told that there may have been another son born after the marriage, possibly a John Jr., but he knew nothing about him. Eugene was raised by Luella's parents after her death.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Kathi,
No, I,m not sure. As a matter of fact, I think I am dead wrong. I believe that Peter 1824 is the son of Peter and Esther. In the 1860 census Esther is living with him and his family. She is probably widowed. I'm not sure who Peter 1804 connects with.
I don't believe the Shadts are connected with the Sheddy/Shady clan. Most Shadts later became either Shade or remained Shadt or Schadt.
Best, Neil

I came across this posting and am curious about the information you have on Jane Robson Dunn. My great-gradmother was Jane Robson and she was married to Harry Dunn. Her children were Joseph, Evelyn, Matthew R, Matthew W. and Mabel Jane (my grandmother). Would this be the same Jane Robson Dunn?

Hi Neil
I checked out your posting at ancestry and have a question on the Shady line. Are you positive that Peter born abt 1804 living in Lycoming Co is the father of Peter born abt 1824 living in Delaware Twp? I could never link him with the family in Del Twp.

Peter and Esther Shady are buried at St John's Lutheran on Musser Lane, Watsontown. (The River Church) Also buried there are family with the "Sheddy" name. Peter, born 1824, is buried at the Old Baptist Church Cemetery on Musser Lane. He was a veteran-Co D, 7th Pa Cavalry.

Also buried at St John's is Erenan Shadt born 1813, whom I believe to be "Shady". She married Daniel Wertman.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! I have more info on this line of the Shady/Sheddy family if you are interested.

Thanks!
Kathi

Hi: This is the probable descendence of your quest pertaining to the Sears-Morgan connection.Samuel sears born 1812 married to a Mary Morgan 1807 which probaly was Isaiah Morgan sister as she was not a Saxton.Samuel and Mary Sears had 5 children one was your Gr grandfather John Sears who was the father of Annabelle who was your grandmother or Grt.That letter was mentioning Uncle and Aunt and cousin which was Uncle Samuel and Aunt Mary Sears and cousin John and the rest of Samuel and Mary children.Annabelle was John child who got the letter from her father John Sears.Samuel and Mary Sears lived in Shamokin Township (Irish Valley)when letter was written.Dennis is buried along with some of his brothers and father Isaiah Morgan in the baptist cemetary in Irish Valley. The remainder of Isaiah Morgan family is buried in Trevorton,Pa.

Do you have any COONERS (Henry Cooner ~1764-1850) and Elizabeth Clark Cooner; William S. Cooner (1818) and Elizabeth Reader Cooner? 3 of William S. Cooner & Elizabeth Reader Cooner's children died as infants...do not have any names, but they would have been born within 1843 until 1870. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you, Tina Barrett Strouble (tinastrouble@woh.rr.com). My Grandmother Barrett was a COONER. Her father was one of William S. Cooner's and Elizabeth Reader Cooner's 16 children.
