Photo and certificate at antique shop in Shamokin - HUNT & MARWINE
I found two old family items at an antique shop in Shamokin, Northumberland County, and thought someone might be interested. They are:
An old photograph, no date, but I would guess about 1930/1940, of an elderly man; I estimate aged about 60/70. It was signed "Emory W. Hunt" with a typewritten caption: "My life belongs to the supreme young man, Jesus Christ, for he redeemed it." I looked up Emory W. Hunt in the 1930 census; there was no one by that name in Shamokin but there was one living in Lewisburg, Union County, born 1862, wife Elizabeth O.
There was also a framed certificate of registration of some kind for a beauty shop owned by Eleanor Marwine, 120 N. Chestnut Street, Mount Carmel, Northumberland County. The date was August 20, 1946.
The name of the store is Odds & Ends, they have a website with contact information at:

I hope I may have been of some help in reuniting these old heirlooms with family.
