Nice to meet you and connect, Kathi. I have lots of info on the Vance line; oddly enough Martha Vance Everitt's mother's maiden name was Vance too; she was a Martha Vance and she and her husband Thomas Vance were both born in Ireland. Martha Vance's father George Vance was from the Inishowen peninsula in Donegal county and immigrated with his family to the Bloomsburg PA area in 1804. I don't have as much info on Thomas's ancestry but there are a few pointers.
Rebecca and Gabriel show up in a few records in Columbia county (like their marriage announcement in the newspaper) but the only mention of Letitia and Moses that I ever uncovered was in Thomas Vance's will.
George Vance was my 6th-great-grandfather; I am descended from his eldest son John (Martha Vance Everitt's uncle on her mother's side).
All these Vances lived in Columbia county from 1804 through the mid 1900s when some of them moved to Lycoming county near Williamsport.
If you have any interest in Martha's line feel free to email me at

Thanks for the response also and best of luck in your research!
Edit: I went back and checked Thomas's will; it implies Martha Vance (Enoch's wife) had died by 1869 and she and Enoch had had children Effie J. Everitt and Alonzo Everitt. There are also children listed for Rebecca and Gabriel, but none for Letitia and Moses. Thomas clearly wasn't fond of Alonzo; he left provisions for most of his grandchildren but left for Alonzo "as his entire share of my estate, One Dollar." But there are other signs that Thomas was not an easy man to get along with!
