Lewis is my 5th greatgrandfather. My greatgrandmother is Margaret May Ettinger married to
Robert Dobson. Trying to find out where Lewis came from in Germany? His cousin Christian Hennigar came from Hatten, Alsace and it seems like many of the Eddingers that came to Pennsylvania came from near that area as well. They were both in the Flying associators of Northampton under Captain Hagenbuch during the Revolution so I'm guessing that
Lewis was from one of the 3 brothers that settled in that area sometime after 1752.
Any ideas?
