He helped lay out Fennersville, which is the modern day Sciota PA, changed after 1870 to prevent confusion with a similar named Tannersville.

8 Mary A. age 27 born 1827 in PA; the census taker's mistakes with this family are many. The census of 1860 however resolves the contradiction showing her to be aged 37, thus born ca 1823.

17 A distant cousin who knew the family recalled the name as "George" Mead but the obituary says Nathaniel, and despite its many errors, census records shows a nearby Nathaniel Mead with wife Mary but no George Meade anywhere.
