Thank you so much for your response! Awhile back I followed Eschenbaugh/Eshenbach family back to 1700s Germany, but I still can't find George's parents- it's maddening!!
My brick wall is the elusive George Keiper/Kiper (b. 1854, PA) and his parents.
All I know about George is that he was born on 9/2/1854 in either Tobyhanna or White Haven, PA.
George's unknown parents were born in PA, but of German-Dutch descent and he worked as a laborer, and also as a lumberjack in the backwoods of Tobyhanna.
Eliza Eschenbaugh/Eshenbach married George Kiper/Keiper in 1876, Monroe County, PA. Eliza was also married to G. Drum in 1871, G. Drum died before 1876. They had one child, G. H. Drum 1871.
Children of George and Eliza: Lina M. (7/21/1888-6/8/1913 or 1964?: Pocono Pines, PA), William C.( 1/1886-1948), Amanda J. (11/1882 or 83-1937), Agnes/Agatha? (1881-1969), Mary Ellen (12/1878), Edward John (6/1875: Locust Ridge-1954 Pocono Pines, PA), Stepson G.H. Drum (1871).
Edward John married Bertha P. (3/1880 or 1882), and their children were: Sarah V. Kay 12/1893 or 1896, George C.D. 6/1897, and James H. 5/1898 or 1899.
George is MIA on the 1910 census, but by 1920, he is listed as Widower living in the household of Widow Agnes Smith (1881-1969), with other boarders: John Meches (33) and Charles Louis (19), and her children: Irene (18) and George (15) Smith.

George's father's first name may be JOHN. Malinda Schoch is also a person of interest as a possible match for George's mother.
