Melchior Heller, native of Monroe county, born June 1828,died April 10, 1889, son of Anthhony and Sallie ("Fetherman") Heller. After his marriage he bought the Hoffman farm. He owned a buisness with his brother-in-law, John Smoyer. He also had a mill with his son-in-law, F. W. Eilenberger.

In an. 1850 he married Sarah Smith, born Nov. 1826, d/o of John and Katie ("Huffman") Smith. Her grandfather was Adam Smith born in Lehigh county.

John Smith married Katie Huffman, the d/o Philip and Catharine Huffman, they had 3 children; Elizabeth, Philip and Sarah, the wife of Melchior Heller.

Elizabeth Smith married Daniel Bush of Smithfield, she died leaving three children; Catherine, Sarah, married __________Decker, and Ettie, married Samuel Meckely.

Philip lived on the Smith homestead, he married Katie Lee, they had two children; Ida, who married Jacob "Brutzman", and Sarah J. who married Alfred LaBar of Smithfield.

John born 1852 in Smithfield, married Ella Trible, he died Feb. 1898 leaving a wife and 3 children, Robert D. Melchior, and Sarah

Elizabeth, born 1854, married Hiram LaBar of Shawnee.

Catherine born 1856,married M. C. Kautz, she died leaving no family.

Sallie born 1858, married Jonas Nye of Smithfield, they had a daughter, Mattie.

Isabel born 1860, married Albert Knapp of E. Stroudsburg, they had no children.

Frank, born 1861, married 1893 to Mary Edinger, d/o Peter R. and Eliza Edinger.

Bertha born July 1865, married Philip Peters of E. Stroudsburg, three children, Bessie, Amy and Bernard.

William, born 1866, married Viola Eilenberger, they had no children

Amy born 1871, married Frederick W. Eilenberger of Minsi, 5 children.

Mary L. born 1872, married Harry Cyphers, of Bethlehem, Northampton.
