Can anyone doing research at the J.V. Brown Library in Lycoming Co. tell me what the following obituaries say?
I found reference to these online from the J.V. Brown Library. Three are from the (Lycoming) Daily Gazette and Bulletin and one from either the same paper or The Sunday Grit.
1. Title: Robert A. Brookhart: Notice of funeral of brother William H.
Gazette & Bulletin 4/20/1896 pg 8
..........I can't read the first few words and these are the most important to me. I thought maybe it might just be the internet copy(or hoping I should say, because it is the names of his son's) and then there are a few other blanks I can't make out online. I have the following:
.............sons of William H. Brookhart.........died in Sunbury Friday.......New's express yesterday.........funeral occured from the residence ....brother R.A. Brookhart.......gton Street at 4:30 in the ........The body was accompanied.........of G.A.R. Post No. 335.......and also of the P.O.S. of .....st, No.64 of this city, had ...................the funeral internment in............Street cemetery. The pall...............were members of the lodge...........A.R.
If you are able to fill in any of the missing information, that would be great. Even if it's just a few more letters.
Also looking for:
2. Title: Harriet Brookhart (Mrs. William) obituary
Publication: Gazette & Bulletin: 02/23/1877 pg 4
3. Title: W.H. Brookhart: Notice of death
Publication: Gazette & Bulletin: 11/01/1893 pg. 5
4. I'm looking for an obituary for Robert A. Brookhart b. abt. 1831-37 and who died around Feb 8, 1914. I found mention in The Sunday Grit on that date but it is just lumped in with a group of funerals for that week.
Any help you can be would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
