Joseph Cordora, 133 Tompkins St., Pittston, died at 2:10 am yesterday in his home following a heart attack. Mr. Cordora was born in Sicily, a son of the late Gaetano and Lena Laudico. He came to the U.S. as a youth and settled in Pittston where he had resided since. He was a member of St. Rocco's Church, Pittston, and the Sons of Italy. He was serving his fourth term as president of the Serridifalco Society, Pittston. Surviving are his wife, the former Concetta Barile, four sons, Guy, at home; Ignatius, York; Michael, Nanticoke; and John, Forty Fort; six daughters, Mrs. Russell Insalaco, Rochester, N.Y.; Mrs. Val DeStefano, this city; Mrs. John Mariani, Endicott, N.Y.; Mrs. Leonard Polinski, Pittston, and Mrs. Joseph Ranielli Jr., at home; 14 grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. The funeral will be held form the Carl Adonizio Funeral Home, 251 William St., Pittston, at 9 am Monday.
