hello I am trying to research my family i have traced it back to my 5th grandfather on my mothers side of the family. but I am stuck. his name is i believe Joseph Clinton Jr b abt 1785 d abt 1840 he married an Emma Mary Schlott b abt 1795 d abt 1873. i can find nothing on him or his parents i believe his fathers name may be Joseph Clinton Sr mother unknown. Joseph Jr was born in Trenton Burlington NJ but moved to Lancaster Co, Pa because he married my 5th great grandmother there. he also died there. i do know he had a son named Micheal dewitt Clinton born about 1818 died in west virginia in 1898 if any of this helps please feel free to email me at tyia40@yahoo.com if you have any information thank you very much for your time and effort.
