BOARDMAN – A service will be held in Donald G. Wagner’s honor at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at the Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home, 11500 Market St. in North Lima, Ohio. There will be a viewing the night before (Tuesday, April 10) for all family and friends from 7 to 9 p.m. and one hour before the service on Wednesday.

Donald Wagner was born on June 12, 1931, in Heshbon, Pa., Indiana County.

While residing in Pennsylvania, Donald was a baseball pitcher for the towns of Robinson, Blairsville and Bolivar.

He married Patricia A. McDermott in 1951 and moved to Boardman, Ohio in 1957.

Donald was a member of the Poland Christian Church and retired from the Youngstown Sheet & Tube Company after 32 years. He then worked for Dwight Depp & Sons Home Improvement for 20 years.

Donald coached little league baseball and loved teaching it to his grandsons. In addition to his love for baseball, Donald enjoyed pitching horseshoes, bass fishing, hunting, gardening and entertaining his neighbors on the front porch.

Donald leaves behind his wife, Patricia, with whom he celebrated 60 years of marriage.

Surviving children are Donald G. Wagner Jr. of Longmont, Colorado, Cynthia A. Wilkins (Hepburn), of Fort Collins, Colo., Rhonda L. Wagner-Smith (Dan) of Boardman, Ohio and Tina C. Kosman (Chris) of East Palestine, Ohio.

Grandchildren include Jennifer L. Murnock (George), Jason A. Depp (Nikki), Ryan A. Depp (Trish), Matthew C. Kosman (Jen) and Kristina M. Kosman.

Great-grandchildren include George J. Murnock III, Jenson L. Murnock, Connor Stevens and Mason Kosman.

Graveside services will be held immediately following the service at Lake Park Cemetery, 1459 E. Midlothian Blvd. in Youngstown.
