WELL-KNOWN FARMER DEAD.
Father of Johnstown People Expires at Home a Mile from Cramer

Cramer, Feb. 6. - Elias Ressler, a well-known farmer of East Wheatfield Township, Indiana County, died at his home about a mile from here at 10 o'clock Saturday night, from stomach trouble, with which he had been ailing for over a year. He was born on the farm on which he died, on August 7, 1858. He lived there all his life, and was much respected by all his neighbors. The deceased was married over thirty-five years ago to Miss Jennie Detwiler. His wife and the following children survive: Charles of Fairfield avenue, Johnstown; Edward, who lives on an adjoining farm; Harry, of Seward; Martin and Ellen Pearl, at home; Rose, wife of George Plowman, and Lottie, wife of Joseph Plowman, of Coopersdale, Johnstown. Six grandchildren also survive, as well as the following brothers and sisters: Daniel and Jacob, of Latrobe; Mrs. Jennie Aungst, of Sheraden, and Sarah, wife of David Hildebrand, of Moxham, Johnstown. The funeral will be held to-morrow afternoon at 1 o'clock, with services at the house and interment at Armagh. The deceased had been a member of the Dunkard Church for the last twenty years.
