Doris Louise Hennen Bissett -Member of New Freeport Church of Christ - 85, of Star Route, Holbrook, New Freeport, died at 12:30 PM Tuesday, April 10, 2001, in her home, after being in failing health for the past several years.
She was born Jan. 29, 1916, in McMechen, W. Va., a daughter of Chester Albert Sr. and Marie Zelda Marple Hennen.
Mrs. Bissett was a resident of the New Freeport area since 1955, where she was a member of New Freeport Church of Christ.
She was a 1933 graduate of Union High School in Benwood, W. Va., and was last employed several years ago as a secretary at Wheeling Steel.
On May 9, 1936, she married Herschel U. Bissett, who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Linda Cooper of New Freeport; two sons, Jack H. Bissett of Winters, California, and Dennis L. Bissett of Western Springs, Ill.; six grandchildren, David B. and Cathy Cooper and Kirk, Jeremy, Megan and Dana Bissett; and two great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a brother, Chester Albert Hennen, Jr., who died in infancy.
Mrs. Bissett was the last of her immediate family.
