I am seeking the ancestry of Michael Bloom (b.~1819 d.1882) who was - according to his pension records - originally from Fulton county, PA. His first wife was Mariah Carnell (Carnel?) and she was the mother of John Bloom, my GG-grandfather. Michael Bloom was a blacksmith prior to the Civil War, and perhaps his father was, too. I have information claiming that there was a Daniel Bloom in McConnellsburg who was a blacksmith circa 1820, but I have nothing further on Daniel, nor any other Bloom leads. Any information about the parents of Mariah Carnell or Michael Bloom would be much appreciated.
