Ewing Family Tree since starting early retirement. I do have data to help you. It is as follows. Thomas
Ewing b 1811 (?) in
Mercer County, PA, d ?. He married Rebecca
Burke b 1815 (?) in
Beaver County, PA. Per 1880 census they were living in Shenango, Lawrence, PA. Thomas b was listed as 1807. His parents were from Ireland. Rebecca's father was from Ireland and her mother was born in PA. Per 1870 census (taken 26 Jul 1870) they were living in
Lawrence County, Slippery Rock (town)and post office was New
Castle, PA. His age is listed as 62. This would indicate his b year as 1808. He is listed as a laborer. Per the 1850 census (taken 22 Jul 1850) they were living in
Mercer County,
Findley Twp. His age is listed as 39. This would indicate his b year as 1811. I am guessing his correct b year is then 1811. He is listed as a blacksmith. I do not have any information on earlier generations and will be working on that. If you have any, please advise. Also per 1870 census the children are listed as Mary Ann b 1843, Elizabeth b 1845, Thomas James b 4 Mar 1844 (?) d 21 Dec 1917,
Zachariah (my ggfather) b 1847, d 9 Apr 1891 or 1892, John b 1849, Robert Pedro b 14 Feb 1851, d 21 Mar 1933 and James b 1859. Hope this information helps you. Let me know either way and do you have any earlier information on Thomas or Rebecca's parents? Thanks.
