Erie County SS.
Personally came C.N. NICHOLS who being duly sworn according to law doth depose and say that
M J WOOLSEY deceased, died testate on the 6th day of December 1906, at 3 o'clock P.M. and at
the time of his decease he was a resident of the County of Erie residing in the Township of Fairview
County of Erie and State of Pennsylvania, That the said Decedent left the following named persons all
the next kin of the said Decedent.
Mott John WOOLSEY a son residing at Marshall town Iowa.
Lewis A. WOOLSEY a son residing at Castolia in the State of Iowa.
Henrietta A HAYWARD a daughter residing at Tama in the State of Iowa.
Sarah J. WRIGHT a daughter residing at Tama in the State of Iowa.
Ellen M. TWITCHELL a daughter residing at Redfield in the State of Iowa.
Mary R. DRURAWAY (should be DUNAWAY) a daughter residing at Plane view in the State of Neb.
Hattie Ardell CLEM a daughter residing at Chelsea in the State of Iowa.
Carrie Bell EARNEST a daughter residing at Tama in the State of Iowa.

WILL
I, Mott J WOOLSEY of the Township of Fairview County of Erie, and State of Pennsylvania,
not being in very good health of body and realizing the uncertainty of life, but being of good memory and
understanding do make this my last will and testament in manner following; towit;
First; It is my will that all my just debts and my funeral expenses be paid as soon after my decease as
conveniently may be,
Second; I give and bequeath to my son Ocar WOOLSEY One Dollar;
Third; I Give and bequeath to my daughters Hattie, Ella, Mary, Rebecca, Clara Belle, Henrietta and Sarah
and to my three Sons Louis A.; Alphonso and John the balance and residue of my estate, they each to share
and share alike in the same both real and personal of whatever kind and character or wherever found or
located at the time of my death, and hereby revoking all other wills by me at any time heretofore made;
I nominate constitute and appoint my son in law Wm. T. EARNEST of Tama Tama County Iowa as
executor of my estate that is located and is found outside of the State of Pennsylvania, and W WHEATON
of Girard Penn. As executor of my estate that may be found and located in the State of Pennsylvania.
In witness whereof I Mott J. WOOLSEY the testator hereunto set my hand and seal this 3rd day of April
A.D. 1906.

who in the presence of us in the presence of each other have subscribed or names witnesses thereto.

This day before me Wm. C. KRAEMER Register for the probate of Wills and Granting letters of
administration in and for the County Aforesaid, personally came A R SMITH and P G WIRTZ, the
subscribing witnesses to the annexed will who being duly sworn according to law that they were present and
saw and heard M J WOOLSEY the testator sign and seal publish and declare the foregoing instrument in
writing to be and as and for his last will and testament and that at the time of so doing he was of unsound
(un very light-maybe erased) mind, memory and understanding to the best of their knowledge and belief.

And now December 12, 1906 having heard the proofs of the execution of the foregoing instrument
in writing as the last will and testament of M J WOOLSEY deceased, and having duly considered the same it is
ordered and decreed that the said writing is duly proved as the last will and testament of said M J WOOLSEY
deceased, and that the same be duly recorded as such according to law.

You W WHEATON swear that as executor of the last will and testament of M J WOOLSEY deceased, you
will well and truly administer the Goods and chattels rights and credits, of the said deceased, according to law
diligently and faithfully regard and will and truly comply with the provisions of the law relating to collateral
inheritances.

Letters Testamentary.
Erie County SS.
By the Tenor of these presents I Wm. C KRAEMAER Register for the Probate of Wills and
Granting Letters of Administration in and for the County of Erie in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to make
known unto all men that on the day of the date hereof, at Erie before was proved, approved and insinuated the
last will and testament of M J WOOLSEY late of Fairview Twp. Deceased (a true copy of whereof is to these
presents annexed,) having while he lived and at the Time of his death divers Goods Chattels, rights and credits
within the said commonwealth, by reason whereof the approbation and insinuation of the said last will and
testament and the committing administration of all and singular the goods chattels rights and credits which were
of the said deceased, and also the auditing the accounts calculations and reckonings of the said administration
and a final dismissal of the same to me are manifestly know to belong; and that administration of all and singular
the goods chattels rights and credits of the said deceased and way concerning his last will and testament was
committed to W WHEATON, in the said Testament named he having been duly sworn well and truly to
administer the goods chattels rights and credits of the said deceased, and make a true and perfect inventory
thereof and exhibit the same into the Registers office on or before the 12th day of January next, and to render
a true and just calculation and reckoning of the said administration on or before the 12th day of December A D
1907 or when thereto lawfully required.

In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of said office to be hereunto
affixed. Dated at Erie the 12th day of December A D 1906.

I Wm C KRAEMER Register of Wills and granting of Letters of Administration in and for said
County do hereby certify the foregoing to be a full and correct copy of the will of M J WOOLSEY deceased,
together with the probate thereof, as the same was admitted to Probate in this office December 12, 1906 and
of Record in Will Book Q Page 173; and also the letters Testamentary issued thereon.

that on this 25th day of February 1907 the matter of the copy of the last will and testament
(Duly authenticated) together with probate proceedings thereon from the Probate court of Eire County
Pennsylvania, of M J WOOLSEY deceased, came on to be heard by said Court and having heard the
evidence and being fully advised in the premised said Court orders that the instrument hereto attached be
declared to be and hereby is established as the last Will and testament of said M J WOOLSEY deceased
and the same is hereby admitted to probate and ordered to be so certified and recorded as required by law.

In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of said Court at Toledo in said County
this 28th day of February 1907.

(Please note; Mott John WOOLSEY came to Winneshiek County, IA from Pennsylvania about 1854 and lived there with his family until the 1880s. He then moved back to Erie County, PA but his wife (Naomi Cordelia Beadle) and children moved to Tama County, IA. His son Lewis WOOLSEY stayed in Winneshiek County & is buried there.)
