LEIDNER, William H
William H. Leidner was the son of pioneer residents of Erie county, the late William and Caroline Strolz Leidner. He was born in Greene township and spent the 77 years of his life in this area.
He died suddenly at his home, 1405 W. 26th st. Friday. The Fire Department Rescue Squad made an unsuccessful attempt to revive him.
He was a farmer in Erie county for most of his life. However, from 1942 to 1950 he was employed as a welder at the Odin Stove co. He retired from the factory in 1950.
Survivors are one sister, Mrs. Lillie Sleisner (spelling unclear), Erie, one brother, Henry Leidner, Wesleyville, two nieces, Mrs. Edward Francis and Mrs. Donald George, both of Erie, one nephew, Raymond Liedner, Erie.
Services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in the Francis V. Kloecker Funeral Home, 25th and Sassafras streets. The Rev. Clair O. Dufford, pastor of St. Johns Lutheran church, will officiate. Burial will be in Erie cemetery.
