I am researching Mary Louisa Cohen who was married to Noble Cohen around 1874. She died 1931 at Methodist Home in Philadelphia and is buried at Chester Rural Cemetery. Noble Cohen must have died between the 1920 and 1930 census. He came from Ireland. Does anyone know when he died and where he is buried? Hopeing to find an obituary on him to perhaps find the maiden name of his wife Mary Louisa Cohen.
Thanks, Don

I am looking for obituaries for George Edward Evans (b. 1877, d.1959) and Ann Jane Evans (b. 1876, d. 1922).

I don't know much other than Ann Jane Evans lived in Folsom in 1922 and died at Crozier Hospital in Chester. George Edward Evans later remarried somebody I named Maude(?) and last lived in Ruledge.

What I am particularly interested in is finding out where these individuals were buried. Sadly nobody in our family knows where these two were laid to rest.

Thanks!!

Hi Andy
Jacob Remm son Joseph F died July 10, 1950 and his wife Agnes died Sept 6, 1933 and both are buried at St. Francis De Sales. I called the church and they do not even have that record but I found the obits. Joseph's sister Catherine Styer is buried there also in 1955. I would presume that Jacob is buried there also, but need additional proof.
Don

Hi Melissa
Go to Delaware County Library Newspaper Archive and you can look at the delaware county newspapers to get the obits. You can type in the surname for a time period, and it will come up and just click in to enlarge the article. I cannot figure out how to print it but maybe you can. I pretty good guess is that the parents of Harry Haycock Boyd are buried at Lawn Croft cemetery also(Thomas and Susan) I saw Thomas living with his daughter and son in law Thomas Devonshire in the 1900 census and they are buried at Lawn Croft also. The phone # is 610-485-1878. Best wishes and if you need anything additional here in Delaware Co, let me know.
Don

Jacob Horn (b. 1801, d. before 1880) is living in Banks Twp, Carbon County, PA in 1850 and 1870 with wife Elizabeth (Hattie?) and 8 children. Most children moved to Luzerne County between Civil War and 1880. One son, Stephen Horn, lived in Huntington Twp, Luzerne County, PA and was mentioned in Munsell's History of Luzerne County (1880) as having been born in Horntown, PA. I find Hornetown in Darby Twp, Delaware Cty on a 1780 map along with early Hornes--William, Edward, Thomas. Any help linking Jacob to these Hornes would be appreciated. Thanks!

I am looking at 1920 u.s. census for James Crielly. Census says he is abt 39 yrs old from Upper Chichester, Delaware, Pennsylvania. It shows his children but where one of the children's name should be its blank. and then shows a fraction as an age. The next child has a name but again has a fraction as an age. I am trying to decipher if there is a way to tell when they were born. Or if the fraction shows how long they lived. When I look at the handwritten copy of the census only the one where the name is listed shows. Thanks if you can help.

I might be able to help......I have lived in Newtown Square for many years and that is where Dorothy died. Do you know if her husband has passed? I can't find him on the SS Death Index. Strange.....

There is a Dorothy M. listed in public records who lived in Bala Cynwyd in 1989. Would that be a possibility, do you think?

There are two nursing homes in Newtown Square which could possibly be where she was living.

Any hints??

My ancestor was French marine aide Maj. Pierre Gabriel de Juzan of Mobile, Alabama, killed in combat against Chickasaws, in the 1730's 1st Battle of Ackia, Tupelo, Missisippi Military District. His father was Count Ponchartrain's intendent of estates, his mother Mme. Michelle de Liette de Juzan "of the King's cabins", Versailles, France. Maj. Juzan was kin to Capt. Antoine de Tonty and aide Maj. Charles Pierre de Liette of Canada, killed 2nd Battle of Ackia. Allegedly all three were once considered for, but not awarded, the Order of St. Louis? Third brother, Baron Alphonse de Tonty (Taludy) purchased the 1600's fortified stone home in Montreal of my ancestor Etienne Trudeau who's son, Canadian marine Maj. Francois Trudeau in 1702 build old (defunct) up-river Mobile, Alabama's first fort. Today, again in the Trudeau family, it is the restaurant Auberge St. Gabriel. Brother Henri de Tonty from Canada to Mobile, was godfather of Kaskaskia Illini Mme. Catherine E8ipakin8ca Colon's half-breed daughter, Henriette Colon who wed Canadian Charles Rochon, Sr., who 1714 own 1,000 cattle on Hollinger's Island off Mobile. The brother's father allegedly help found the di Tonti system of insurance?
