I can see in SSDI and Find A Grave that Helen Munch, born 1908 dies in Brookhaven Nov 5, 1988.

I hope someone can help me with an obit, so I can see whether this is Helen Smedberg, born in Connecticut to Axel and Hilma/Helma Smedberg or not.

I spoke too soon, I am sorry. I just can't prove it. I can see that Helen Smedberg lived in New York in the 20's and 30's, where the SS number was issued. Also the birth year is the same, but you probably already have these facts. I asked a friend to give it his expertise. Hopefully he can help you. I looked everywhere I could for the obit,I just can't find it. I'll be watching, good luck to you...

was Helen Smedberg from Kings county married August 3 1933 with Sophus S Munch. See

On Find A Grave is a picture and it say "Mother" so I guess she had children. I haven't been able find the husband in the same database
