My great-great-grandfather was John Blessing born Jan. 26,
1821 in Dauphin County, PA. MarriedMary Walter born Dec.
20 1825. Marriage was on Dec. 20, 1846, presumably in Dauphin Co. Came to Tiskilwa, Bureau Co., IL in 1849 or 1850. John died there Sept. 17,1902 (killed by train) His wife died Feb. 12, 1902. One of their daughters, Anna, born
June 8, 1855 married Harry C. Webster Mar. 14,1881. They
were parents of two sons, Homer Webster and Charles H. Webster, who was my grandfather. I have no knowledge of
the Blessing family prior to John. Thought they might have
been Hessian mercenaries, but now it doesn't look that way
