My 3x great-grandfather was William Arters(Arthur). He was born in 1770 in either Cumberland or Mifflin Counties in PA. We are looking for his parents. He married Mary(Polly)Davisson Friend in Harrison Co.,VA.(now WV.) on 1 Feb.1802. They had at least 10 children. I descend through their son James & his wife Mariah Jane Adkisson.
