This Indenture made 22 Dec 1820 between Adam
Foust and
Catherine his wife of Sadsbury,
Crawford, PA of the first
part and Sarah
Foust daughter of said Adam
Foust of the same
place of the second part. Witnesseth that the said Adam
Foust and Catherine his wife for the consideration of the
sum of $1.00 and other valuable considerations lawful money
of the United States to us in hand paid by the Sarah
Foustat and before the ensealing and delivery of these presents
the receipts and payment whereof we do hereby acknowledge
and thereof aquit forever discharge the said Sarah
Foust,
her heirs, executors and administrators by these presents
have granted, bargained, sold, aliened, enfeoffed, released
and confirmed and by these presents do grant bargain, sell,
alein, enfeoff, release and confirm unto the said Sarah
Foust and to her heirs and assigns.
All that following describe part of a large tract of
land Beginning at a post thence east by land of Catherine
Trace wife of Jacob
Trace, 325 perches to a maple tree,
hence south by land of Beniah
Potter 40 perches to a post,
thence west by land of Adan
Foust of other land of the said
Adam
Foust 325 perches to a post thence north by land of the
heirs of Thomas M. Gray dec'd 40 perches to the beginning,
containing 76 acres 104 perches and allowance of 6% for
roads, it being part of a tract containing 401 acres 150
perches and allowance of 6% for roads which was conveyed on
a warrant granted to Charles
Potter bearing date of 10 Apr
1793 which tract of land by sundry conveyancy became the
property of the said Adam
Foust in fee simple situate in the
township & county aforesaid.
Together with all and singular the buildings,
improvements, rights, liberties, priveleges __ heridetaments
and appurtenancy whatsoever thereunto belonging or in
anywise appertaining; and the seversions and remainders,
rents, issues and profits thereof: and also all the estate,
right, title, interest, property, claim and demand
whatsoever of them the said Adam
Foust and Catherine his
wife in law or equity or otherwise howsoever of in to or out
of the same. To have and to hold the said 76 acres 104
perches of land hereditenend and premised hereby granted,
mentioned or intended so to as with the appurtanancy unto
the said Sarah
Foust and her heirs and assigns to the only
proper use benefit & behoof of the said Sarah
Foust and her
heirs and assigns forever. And the said Adam
Foust &
Catherine his wife their heirs executors and administrators
do hereby covenant promise grant & agree to and with the
said Sarah
Foust and her heirs & assigns by these presents
that they the said Adam
Foust & Catherine his wife heirs and
the above mentioned and described premises hereby granted or
mentioned or intended so to be with the appurtenances unto
the said Sarah
Foust against the said Adam
Foust & Catherine
his wife & their heirs & against all & every other persons
whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the said seventy
six acres one hundred forty perches of land. Shall and will
warrant & forever defend by these presents.

wife have hereunto set their hands & seals the day & year

Received on the day of the date of the above indenture of &
from the above named Sarah
Foust the sum of one dollar &
other considerations in full of the other consideration
above mentioned. (signed) Adam

Crawford County ___ Before me the subscriber one of the
justices of the peace in & for the said county personally
came the aboved named Adam
Foust & Catherine his wife &
acknowledged the above deed to be their act & deed & desire
that the same might be recorded as such. Witness my hand &
seal this 22nd day of December A.D. 1820.
