"John McKelvey, an old resident of Hayfield died 11 April 1880, aged 82 years 3 days."

Ed. note: JOHN McKELVEY was married Jan. 22, 1860 to MARGARET TRIPHENA MORSE (1840-1930) in Meadville. The 1880 US Census Mortality Schedule shows "John McKelvey, died April 11, 1880, age 78." I have no info on his birth date, birth place, or parents. According to other info I have John McKelvey is buried in Dunn Cemetery. Any info appreciated.

I am searching for information on the family of Mr. McKelvey and Maria Margaret Frankenberger. She had a son Charles E. McKelvey b. about Sept. 1880 by Mr. McKelvey (first name unknown). After her first husb. (Mr. KcKelvey) died in 8 Apr. 1886 she then married Andrew Perry Jones on Jan. 15, 1887 in Venango county, Pennsylvania. By Andrew Perry Jones she had May (b. Aug. 1891), Maude A. (b. Jun 1894) and Lewis Edward Jones (b. Apr. 1896). Andrew Perry died 22 Jan 1902 in Oakland twp., Venango Co., PA. Margaret then married William Raifsnyder abt. 1904. The family was living in Siverly Boro, Venengo Co., PA in 1910 with another child - Clifford (Jones or Raifsnyder). Any idea where these family members ended up?

I don't have any records of the McKelvey family you show here. My John McKelvey died in 1880 at age 78 (not verified). That is not to say that they are not connected to my family. If I come across anything that shows that I will be sure to let you know. There are a few different McKelvey families in the Crawford/Erie/Venango county areas in this time frame, so it is possible there is some connection. As far as I know there is none of my McKelvey family line in the area after about 1930. Good luck with your digging.
