Hoping to find someone who has more photos or any type of information, i.e., diaries or information from a family bible. I have land record information and obits on some of the family members and also have the location of burial in Highland Cemetery.
Do you have any info on Jacob Stech Simcox, b. 2 Nov 1862 in McEliot/Pine Station, Wayne Township, Clinton Co., PA, son of John Simcox b. about 1822 and Frances(Fannie) Strayer b. about 1823, siblings George W. b. about 1850, Susan b. about 1852, Annabel b. about 1853, and Mary E. b. about 1865? He also had a cousin named Mary K?????????? b. about 1871 that lived with them in 1880.
Also, George Briton McClelland Ricker, b. 25 Nov. 1864 in McElhattan(?), Clinton Co., son of Daniel b. about 1831 and Anna (Thorn? daughter of Nicholas b. about 1817 and Margaret b. about 1816?) b. about 1841, siblings James b. about 1867, Fanny b. about 1869, Harry b. about 1873, Charles b. about 1874, and Susannah b. about 1879?

Jacob Simcox and George Ricker married two sisters in DC in the early 1890s, so I assume they were friends in Clinton Co. By 1896, Jake had separated from his wife. From then on, I lose him. Do you have any idea where he went and when he died? His wife said she was a widow by 1922.

Any info would help.

I'm looking for information on a Barbara Culvey. She is listed as the birth mother on the death certificate of my great great grandfather Aaron Thomas Walizer - born 9/17/1858 in Centre Co, PA. The father of Aaron Thomas Walizer is listed as a Jacob Walizer. I am having difficulty determining which Jacob Walizer is Aaron's father as well as trying to get information on Barbara Culvey. By an obituary article on Barbara Culvey (Barbara Woomer) - it states that she was married to a Woomer. It further states that Barbara Culvey was related to the Culvey's who were murdered that being Isiah Culvey and his wife. Barbara died in a fire in Frogtown, PA in or about 1907. It is believed that Aaron is the illigitmate child of Jacob and Barbara. If anyone has any information on where Aaron lived as a child (either with Culveys or Walizers or otherwise) or any information on Barbara Culvey, I would greatly appreciate it. If you have any information, please e-mail Dru at fidoandfluffy@gmail.com.
Dennison, the son of Hiram Dennison of Leidy, Chapman, and Noyes Townships, PA (1850-1880). Through my research, I stumbled across this posting of yours. If you are able to send a digital/scanned photo of John M. Dennison to me, I would greatly appreciate it! I have accumulated a decent amount of information on Hiram and John if it would be of any use to you. Also, if you have any information on John's death, that would be very helpful! Please let me know if you are able to send the picture and if I can help you with any of the information I have obtained through my research.

Franklin
I have the marriage records from Centre and Clinton County, and there's no record of Albert I Boob's marriage to anyone. But when Shelva Jean Boob (1938-2012) died last year, I found that her Mother was Mildred Grace Auman (1912-1985) and her father was Albert I Boob. Mildred's parents were Harry Franklin Auman (1886-1957) and Maude E Bower (1891-1937) http://lockhaven.com/page/content.detail/id/539699/Shelva-J-...
Albert died in 1944 and is buried in the Woodward Cemetery in Centre County. His parents were William F Boob (1873-1936) and Hannah K Rhine (1872-1966).
Mildred did marry Raymond Schrack around 1945 in Clinton County, and in that marriage record Mildred is listed as Mildred Grace Auman Boob.
In the marriage record from Centre County I did find Sara J Zerby married George F Rider, but no date was listed.
In what year was your John Henry Zerby born?
WOW! My Mom's (Jennie Mae Boob-Vonada) birth father is Albert Isiah Boob. My Mom was born December 21, 1926. Her mother is Sarah Jane Zerby. I don't have documentation that Albert and Sarah were married. After Albert died my mom and her mom went to live with Raymond Schrack until her mom married George F. Rider on August 17, 1932. It looks like Mildred took my mom and grandmother with her when she married Raymond Schrack. This informaton was from a conversation I had with Donald Boob in Melheim, PA. I am having a heck of a time finding out anything about Sarah Zerby. I do know that Sarah's parents were Elizath "Lizzie" "Lucy" Ulrich and John Henry Zerby, Gregg Twnshp., Centre County. Do you have pictures of Albert Boob? I am so excited to have connected with you. My email is sunshinessfs@yahoo.com. Can't wait to hear from you again.

Don't know if you receivede a response. James Milford Shook died March 1905. Born in Lamar, moved to Bellefonte late 1890's with wife Sarah Jane Lockard. I am researching Lockards in Centre and Clinton Counties. If you search public trees for James or Sarah you should be able to see all the info and their children.

Re: Walizer, Schreckengast, Johnson

I, too, have a relationship through the Walizer family. I have tried to get a handle on the various clans, but because of the re-use of first names, it has been challenging. Info I found seems to contradict info from other sources. Maybe you could assist me.
I have George Walizer m. Delilah Schreckengast about 1861 in Clinton County, PA. I, too, only have found five children: William Ellis (1863); Adam (1869), Annie (1871), Clara (1874), and Newton (1877). Adam and Annie last appeared on the 1880 US census. Clara died in 1908 (find-a-grave). Either Annie (most likely) or Clara married someone named Johnson, as a granddaughter (Bertha P.) was noted on the 1900 US census living with George/Delilah.
I also have John Walizer m. Mary (unknown) also about 1861 in Clinton County, PA. They had four children of which I could only locate three: Adam N. (1862), Lizzie (1866) and Katie (Oct 1873). I lost track of Lizzie after 1880, but Katie married Lewis Swardwood in Jul 1895 and they had at least three children: Gertrude, Rosa and William. Gertrude is living with John and Mary in 1900. The marriage ended between 1901 and 1903. Lewis remarried in 1904. I could not locate Katie after 1900. Adam N. I have listed as married to Rebecca Weaver Confer in 1887. She had one child from her previous marriage, and four children with Adam.
Now, my problem is that several other trees on Ancestry show Adam N. Walizer (with Rebecca) as being the son of George and Delilah. The dates don't match, but maybe someone has some conclusive documentation to show to which set of parents Adam N. belongs. It's trick to separate, since both George/Delilah and John/Mary lived in the same area (Logan and Tylersville).

Any help is much appreciated.

Jim Marxen

P.S. I am descended from Charles Walize/Wallace, son of John Walize and Sara Hottenstein of Northumberland County.

The John Wilson Wadsworth you are talking about was my grandfather's brother. There are still family members left. Let me know exactly what you may need for this, and I will talk to the family.

Thank you for responding to my initial inquiry about the HIGH family in Clinton County. I did not have the maiden of the wife of Torrence High.

You are providing a a dependable source of information to genealogists.

Dick Deise
