I have found some treasures. My grandfather, John Wesley Warner/Werner...and his brother William Orlando Warner/Werner worked on the family tree back in 1943, over a hundred years after their father was born. They worked on these papers after he had already passed away, so have to wonder about thier accuracy.
William Thomas Warner was born Sept 1833 in Pennsylvania, and the boys claimed it was Knox, but did not say which county. I had thought it was the county, but that may not be the case here. His father was Jacob Warner and his mother was Lydia Jane Williams, according to what I have been able to learn.
Is there a way to find a family sheet of births, or a birth certificate for William Thomas Warner, the family of Jacob and Lydia Jane Williams Warner?
And of all the questions....I have found so many different Jacob Warner's while searching for who his parents were, is there a way to determine who his parents were? He has no death record that would say.
so for Jacob Warner all I know is that he was born in 1803 in Pennsylvania. His sons wrote a note saying they think his father was Peter R. Warner, mother unknown.
I would like to purchase official copies of these documents or family pages if they actually exist, so locations to send away for them would be helpful, as well as their cost.
Thank you so much for your help, even if it is to say this is the wrong county, or there are no such records for Pennsylvania at that point in time.
Does anyone out there know when Pa started recording births, marriages and deaths?
Thank so very much for your help with this matter.
