ok here is my story handed down through the family. my great granny is laura hickman wise. i found her except she may have been taken in and raised by william and mary bunting hickman.
here i go 1800s there was a indian girl may have been named backus, any way she did seasonal work at the hickman homestead and one year she had a child , the next another and the next she had an infant. when it came time for her to leave and she did , the family found her baby girl on the creek in a basket. maybe someone can verify this for me. she is my fasination, i got her parents name off her marriage certificate she married isaac wise of greene co pa.
