My great-grandfather, Charles Williams, was b 13 Jan 1850 "in PA." The only clue I have to his parentage is in his response on the 1925 IA census: both parents were born in PA, father's name Charles, and mother's name Susan Strunk (or maybe Strent, Strant or Shrunk - hard to read. He says they were married at Parker Ford, PA, presumably sometime before 1850. The younger Charles' inlaws were Elhanan Savage & Sophia Lachman, also from Chester Co. The Savages and Chas. Wms. moved to Iowa around 1870-1880. I'd very much appreciate any info on this family. Thanks, Linda Williams McKay.
