I have a photograph of a gentleman wearing a uniform which contains a visored cap and the insignia of what appears to be a laurel wreath and in the middle are the letters "A.I.S.C". These initials also appear on his collar (a photo is attached).
Has anyone ever seen anything like this before? I've searched and searched for this insignia but to no avail. Identifying this man will be opening a door to a major genealogical mystery which I have researched for almost a decade, and I would be so appreciative of the identification of this odd uniform.
The photograph was taken at "F. Arnolds, 627 Edgemont Avenue, Chester, Pennsylvania." The photographers studio no longer exists.
Thanks in advance!!!
