I am attempting to located information on the family of John Graham of Orange County, N. C., who listed in his family Bible that he was born in Chester County, PA in January, 1741. He was first married on 25 December 1770 to Frances Mebane, daughter of Alexander Mebane, Sr. who had married Mary Tinnen, daughter of John Tinnen, in PA in 1740.

John Graham was married second on 15 October 1782 to Mary Bird, whose father and mother, James Bird and Mary Ashford, were married in 1745 in Old Swede's Church in New Castle County, Delaware. James Bird had settled his family also in Orange County, NC.

John Graham's children by Frances Mebane were named William, Jane (Jennet), John, and Robert. His children by Mary Bird were Frances, Elizabeth, Mary, Charity, James, Sarah, George, and Thomas.

I hope to hear from some Graham researchers who have a spare John for whom you cannot account.
