Nora I. Spotts, b. 1875 Centre Co. ,died 27 July 1923 , buried Oak Ridge Cemetery, Centre Co. Pa. Her parents are Jacob Spotts, b. 1835, died ca 1880 and Isabella Chronisterb, b. 1839, died 1884, Centre Co. They had 7 children including Nora I.Spotts. Jacob Spotts parents are Johannes (John) Spatz Sr., b. 9 April 1792, Berks Co. Pa. , died 5 June 1866, Centre Co. and Sarah Spade, b. 1806 Centre Co., died 24 Dec 1873 Centre Co.

My grandparents were Paul and Helen (Poorman) Witmer. My fathers name was Robert Ernest, one of the oldest of Paul and Helen's children. Names of some of their other children are Roy, Paul Jr., Blanche, Esther, June - I believe there were more but I cannot recall.

I plan to visit some of my cousins this summer who reside in the Bellefonte area and seek additional information about our family history. IF any of the above information is familiar and you believe we may be related, I would love to hear back from you.

I am curious - I was not aware that I had a grandfather names Charles. Perhaps we should explore further to make sure there is a connection. My dad's name was Robert Ernest, and his father was Paul, married to Helen. Sound familiar?
