I don't recall if I responded earlier. Claude and Emma were my Grandfather and Grandmother I was just looking at a picture of them when they visited St. Louis to see their Grand daughter. If you'd like to see it, please let me know and I can e-mail a copy to you. I assume you know they had other children. Robert Claude Jr. was my father. Then there was Elaine, Betty, Hellen, maybe Wilma and Danny. I exchanged e-mails with Danny's son earlier this year.

Please don't hesitate to contact me. Dennis

Sherri or Joyce - By chance do either of you have information on Russell Richards & his wife Clara Zatek? I am specially looking for information about Clara' s family however would appreciate any information you would be willing to share. If it helps my connection to the family is as follows my Grandmother - Verna Planko-Kutyba-Skrout; my Great-Grandmother - Katherine Zatek-Planko (sister of Andrew Zatek who was Clara' s father). Thanks, Christine Kutyba-Theeck

I am looking for any information on Mike Giblak and his wife Maria Konor Giblak. They had at least 1 daughter Sophia Giblak. She was born Sept. 10, 1888 in Austria, Hungary and Died on Oct. 18, 1968 in Fremont, Ohio. It looks like she was married 3 times. Not sure what order but I think it goes this way. 1. Stephen Vastag 2. John Prucyk and 3. Mr. Kovacs. She had at least 1 son Stephen George Vastag 1917 - 1984. However we heard that he was an adopted son to both Sophia and Stephen. Any information any one might have would be great. Thanks.

I have been searching for the parents of Nellie and John Paros. It gets tough finding things from Austria. There does not seem to be a good place to find records.

How nice to hear from you. So if David and Margaret were your Grandparents then we are related. My research indicates they are buried at Westover Baptist Church Cemetary. David 9/13/1881 - 3/26/1962. Margaret, 10/1876 - 10/1/1958. Does that coincide with the information you have?

Who was your Mother or Father?

John
Wade
Edna
Sadie
Harry
Julia
Mary
Rudolph Eugene
Robert Claude

My Grandfather was Robert Claude. His son Robert Claude Jr. was my father.

Also, If you're interested, I had my DNA tested and posted on the Corson DNA Web site. The test results have indicated I originated from the Div. 1 Corson side which probably puts you in the same division. It's interesting to note that this site has focused on the Corson line which began in the US around 1680's, approximately.
http://www.corsondna.com/index.htm

Would love to share any information if you are interested.
If you go to http://www.camgenpa.com and put Paros in the search box at the top of the site, you'll find some hits that seem to deal with your family. With the death years, you could get the death certficates from the state and/or look for obituaries in the Johnstown newspapers.

Good luck,
Karen

I am looking for any information on John Paros 6/17/1885 born in Austria, married to Nellie Paros bat 1890. They had six children, Mary (1909), Annie (1911), Margaret (1913), Rose (1915), John (1918), and Joseph (1920). I believe that I am the great granddaughter of Rose Paros (1915). Any information will be welcomed. They lived in Johnstown Pennsylvania. I believe that both John and Nellie passed away before approximately 1930. The five children were in an orphanage on the 1930 census.

You're right, I don't think there is any connection between the Yeagers from Cambria Co and my ancestors from Lehigh Co. There Are lots of Yeagers from Penn, and it gets very confusing. I think Charles and Joseph Yeager's parents came from Penn. and did indeed move west to Ohio. Only Charles came back and settled in Penn. again. I would love to hear from anyone who does have Yeagers from Lehigh Co though!!

Thank you so much. I am hoping to get up that way this summer to see what I can find. I have a few other names that I can't get into the one church they may have belonged but I do know their ancestors were members of St. Mike's. Do you have info on them?
Peter Sander b Mar 1796 d. Jan 1869 m. Ann (Noel?) b 1796 d Nov 10, 1862. Is her name listed as Noel and is there a record of both their parents names? Both are buried at St. Mike's.

They had a John (Peter?) b Feb 1829 d Dec 1888? m. Elizabeth McHugh b abt 1831 d Apr 1910. Her parents I believe were Michael McHugh b 1789 d 1863 Elizabeth d 1879. I think they married March 4, 1851. Is their any info regarding their Birth/Marriage/Death including parents?

John and Eliza had a son Joseph b Feb 1829? d Dec 1888? Married 1883/84. Is their any information on Joseph and his spouse?

Thank you so much and I really appreciate any clues that you can give me before my trip.

I doubt these Yeagers are related to the Yeagers in Cambria County. Yeager isn't as rare a name as you'd think as it was derived from the German word for "hunter."
The Yeager's I'm descended from in Cambria County (my grandmother was a Yeager) all descend from Anthony Yeager and Charlotta Anna. They did have a son, John Tyler who was born circa 1842. The family lived in Cambria County though, which is in the Western part of the state, not Lehigh County, which is in the Eastern part of the state. It is possible that a child may have gone to the Eastern part of the state when grown, but in that time period, most people went West not East.
Joseph Peter Henry Stineman-2nd marriage

He married Mary Ann Savitz on May 2, 1861. They had five children, Charles, Alice, Mary, Jacob and George. Church records show they were Moravian and lived in Bethlehem, Pa. Mary Ann died on March 26, 1886 and was buried on March 28 in Allentown, Pa. Joseph was my great grandfather. His son George W was my grandfather. My father lived with his aunts Mary and Alice in Philadelphia when he was a young adult and I remember my mother and father visiting them when I was a child. I read a post that spoke of Joseph returning to his father's home after a 2 year absence. Apparently, he returned after he learned of his brother Daniel's death. All the brothers had a falling out, over what I don't know. Joseph left and I suppose he married his 2nd wife. Also, according to records he married a 3rd time to Elizabeth (Lizzie) Frick. Lizzie and Joseph are buried together at the West Laurel Hill Cemetery, Bala Cynwyd, Montgomery County, Pa. Joseph's daughters Mary and Alice are buried at the same cemetery.

After quite a few years, when I first began to research my family history, I got back into it. There is just so much available online now. Years ago, my father had received a correspondence from a relative in South Fork, Pa, and it included a lot of history. I don't think my dad ever showed much interest and until I showed interest, it went untouched.

John Gray and Ann Bain

I am looking for an obituary or any kind of court record for a John Gray and Ann Bain both from Scotland. They had many children and both of them died in Jackson Township, Cambria, Pennsylvania. John was born 1797 and Ann was born 1800 and the whole family immigrated from the Midlothian, Scotland area but we cannot find any immigration records for them. On an 1850 Census it lists them as John Grey (he was a blacksmith) and Ann Gray with children William 1828, Ann 1830, Catherine 1832, John 1836, James 1838, Jane 1840, Andrew 1842 and Alexander 1845. John Gray Sr died 1855 and Ann died 1857. They are buried in the Rager-Lambaugh Cemetery near Mundy's Corner. We cannot find any information other than the gravestones and the one census record and we found some birth records for the children in Scotland but no marriage record. Any information on them would be appreciated.

They were the parents of my father's stepfather. They are shown on my grandmother's marriage certificate and spelled exactly as written above.

Thank you for your reply.

>>>"looking for info on above surname"<<<

Liz M,
Is there some connection to Cambria County?
That's definitely an unusual surname. Nothing found here on Ancestry. But there is a Google hit...a name on a couple instagram photos, which I'm guessing is more than likely "Gina Casou", especially since the COUSO surname definitely exists!
Some info on where you find the name might be helpful.

TOM
