Mrs. Lydia Woods
ALTOONA, May 9. -- Mrs. Lydia (Settlemyer) Woods, died of a complication of diseases Tuesday afternoon at the home of a daughter, Mrs. James Slack, of this place. She was born at Bennington, Cambria County, December 19, 1870, a daughter of Patrick and Marjorie Risbon, and was twice married, first to Aaron Settlemyer and later to James Woods. Both husbands preceded her to the grave. Surviving are four daughters and one son, Mrs. James Slack, Mrs. John Robison, Mrs. Joseph Macher and Mrs. Kenneth Burley, of this city; Clarence Settlemyer, of Chest Springs; four stepsons, William, Harry and Charles Woods, of Barnesboro, and James Woods, of Johnstown; six sisters and three brothers, Mrs. James Conroy and Mrs. Frank Brady, of Altoona; Mrs. John Meredith, of Johnstown; Mrs. Glenn Eichelberger, of Alberta; Mrs. William Woods, of Barnesboro; Mrs. Martin White and Harvey Risbon, of Hopewell, and Joseph and John Risbon, of Ashville. She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.
The funeral will be held tomorrow morning with requiem mass in St. Patrick's Church, Gallitzin. Interment will be made in the church cemetery.
