TASKER - James R., 66, Richland Township, died June 3, 1996, at Memorial Medical Center. Born Aug. 13, 1929, in Wilkinsburg, son of A.C. and Edith (WISE) TASKER. Preceded in death by father. Survived by mother, Somerset, wife, former Blanche B. BITTNER, to whom he was married for 42 years; son, David R., married to former Cathy ELLENBERGER, West Point, N.Y.; and daughter, Diane E., wife of Robert GRAMLING, Reading, Pa.; also grandchildren, Robert TASKER and Erin GRAMLING. Brother of Mildred, wife of Robert TRENT, Somerset; William, married to former Cora Mae FLORY, Dauphin, Pa.; and Betty JAMES, Somerset. In 1948, Eagle Scout in Somerset. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. Retired from PNC Bank. Recently self-employed as independent fee appraiser senior. Member of Bethany United Methodist Church, where he served as Sunday school teacher, lay leader, church treasurer and was active with the men's fellowship breakfast. Life member of Geistown-Richland Lions Club. With 40 years service in the Lions, he served as past president, past deputy district governor and past cabinet secretary/treasurer and past public relations chairman of District 14-J, Lions International. Member of National Association of Realtors. Past president and treasurer of Cambria-Somerset Association of Realtors. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at The Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, where Lions memorial service will be held at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Bethany UM Church, the Rev. Charles E. Goodin. Visitation also one hour prior to service at church. Interment, Grandview Cemetery. Family suggests donations to Bethany UM Church Memorial Fund in memory of James R. Tasker.
