On June 30, 1996, WILLIAM C. SR., age 83, beloved husband of Betty (nee Gilbert), of Broomall, devoted father of William C. Jr., of N. Wales and E. Susanne McCormick, of West Chester; also survived by 5 grandchildren, one great granddaughter and his sister Dorothy Harris, of Phoenixville. Memorial Service Wed. 11 A.M. in THE FRANK C. VIDEON FUNERAL HOME, Sproul and Lawrence Rds., Broomall, Where friends may call after 10 A.M. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be sent to the Hope Presbyterian Church, 33rd and Wharton Sts., Phila., Pa. 19146.

Retired exterminator, 83
William C. Kuttruff Sr., 83, of Broomall, a retired exterminator, died of heart failure Sunday at Chester County hospital.

Mr. Kuttruff had worked for Terminix in Philadelphia for 35 years, retiring in 1978. Before that, he was a welder for the Sun Shipbuilding & Dry Dock Co. in Chester for five years during World War II.

He was born and raised in Philadelphia and moved to Broomall 26 years ago. He attended Overbrook High School.

Mr. Kuttruff had been a member of Hope Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia since 1936 and served there as a trustee and elder, among other activities.

He was also a member of the Cheese Club of Havertown.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Betty Gilbert Kuttruff; two children, William C. Jr. and E. Susanne McCormick; a sister, five grandchildren and a great-grand-daughter.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. today at the Frank C. Videon Funeral Home, Sproul and Lawrence Roads, Bromall. Friends and relatives may call there after 10 a.m. Burial is private.

The family suggests memorial contributions to Hope Presbyterian Church, 33d and Wharton Streets, Philadelphia 19146.

note: Came across this obit while researching another branch of my family, not sure if related to the Cambria county Kutruff families.
