Jonas and Catherine Metzger came to PA in 1742, settling first in Franconia Twp., Montgomery Co. and then moving to Springfield Twp., Bucks Co. Their sons went north, settling in Forks Twp. (Andreas), Hamilton Twp. (Casper) and Smithfield Twp. (John).

I wish to learn Catherine's maiden name and to prove that George Metzger of Hatfield, Montgomery Co. and Jacob Metzger of Lancaster were brothers of Jonas. Also would like to know where in Germany they came from. (The tombstone inscription for Jacob's son says they were Swabs.)
