Mrs. Julia Bollinger was born in Claysburg on February 10, 1841 and died at her home in Hopewell township, Bedford County on October 23, 1907 aged 66 years. For ten years she had been afflicted with paralysis but was always patient and forebearing, and a faithful wife and loving mother. Her husband James Bollinger, a veteran of the Civil War, died about two years ago. The following children survive: Mrs. William Swisher (Sarah Margaret) of Hopewell, Mrs. Jacob Carberry (Catherine Elizabeth) of Liberty, Mrs. Harry Swisher (Mary Ette) of near Hopewell. The following brothers and sister also survive, George and John Walter and Mrs. Levi Tipton (Barbara) all of Claysburg. The funeral was held last Friday in the Reformed Church in Yellow Creek, conducted by her pastor, Rev. C.F. Althouse of Saxton, assisted by Rev. J.W. Glover of Hopewell.
