Joann M. Baker, 52, R.D.1 New Enterprise, died Sunday March 13, 1983 in the Morrison's Cove Home, Martinsburg, following an extended illness. She was born Oct. 4, 1930 at Duncansville,, daughter of the late Theodore R. & Rose Heltzel Stiffler. she married June 25, 1949 in New Enterpise to John R. Baker, who survives along with these four children: Mrs. Barbara Sue Hendricks, Gambrills, Md., J.Ed and E. Michael, New Enterprise and J.Brian of Windber. Eight grt.child. also sur. along with five brothers and sisters, Mrs. Billie Bruno, Pitts.; Mrs. Jackie Walters, Nanty Glo; Mrs. Donna Guth, Elmer New Jersey, Mrs. Patty Ewan, Pallsboro, New Jersey, and Eddie Rhodes, Baltimore, Md. Mrs. Baker was head cook at the Morrisons Cove Home prior to her illness. She was a member of the New Enterprise Church Of The Brethren. Burial in Replogle Cemetery, Waterside, Rev.Lee G. Bowman.
