Turn out my mom had a Great Uncle from Sweden who moved there. I plan to go to the Beaver County Genealogy & History Center before summers end but thought I would start here first.
The information from Census'
Carl Frederic Jernberg b. Feb 3 1866 Sweden to ?
wife Ida Paulina ? b. 1870 in Sweden to ?
d. Jennie b. 1896 PA to ?
s. Carl b. March 4 1901 PA to Nov 1979 Monaca
d. Elizabeth b. Dec 7 1902 PA to Apr 1985 Butler
s. Arthur b. 1907 PA to Dec 12 1994 Beaver Falls

Any addition information to fill in question mark or provide obits and any other contributions will be greatly appreciated. My moms Grandma & Carl had a sister in Washington County the family would visit when she was a kid but she doesn't remember her Great Uncle Carl. One sister married Runquist and another married Fallquist and moms grandma married a Hammerstrom. Curious to learn if any other Jernberg siblings came over from Sweden.

Thanks
Tressie

The nice thing is I didn't know google had that newspaper site and I was able to get his wife's obit after learning about it. Thanks to all!

From a posting on RootsWeb, Gen Web, Beaver Co., PA:

Spiker, Helble, Kennison, Russell
I'm looking for information on William W. Spiker (born 1872 in Maryland, died 1898). He was a Methodist minister in New Brighton. He was married to Cora Kennison (born 1870). They had two or three children. The only son, Paul Raymond Spiker (born 6-18-1899) married Vera Lena Helble, they were my grandparents. Her mother and father also lived in New Brighton. I interested on information for them as well. They were Lorretta Sara Russell(born 8-20-1876) and Charles Frederick Helble (born 12-26-1876). Charles' parents were Lena and Casmire Helble, both of whom I believe were born in Germany. I've never sent a request like this; I'm sure that the information is correct; I hope that it's been submitted properly. Thank you for any help that you can provide. I'm planning on driving to Pittsburgh in late May. I understand that Casmire Helble was a stone mason who built a wall in front of the Catholic church in New Brighton. I would like to know if that's is true; I'll probably drive over to see it. Paul Spiker

It is located in Ambridge, Pa. (Economy, Pa. adjoins Ambridge, see map). St Veronica's Roman Catholic Parish was closed and consolidated with another parish in early 1990's due to declining population and economics. I believe it is located on Ambridge Ave, a few miles from central Ambridge. Location is on Leetsdale,Pa. side of Ambridge, not Economy.

They had their second child (James 1851- 1906) in England before coming to US. Five more children were born in Pennsylvania: Joseph b. abt 1855/57- 1945; Philip (my ggrandfather) b. 1858, Walter b abt 1861/63, Martin b. abt 1864- 1938 and Mary b. abt 1865. I have that both Michael and Anastasia's death place as Clinton, Pennsylvania. I am pretty sure this is the Clinton that is in Beaver Co. If you are interested in communicating let me know.

In a family Bible, I have these names listed without any indication of interrelationship:

Cyrus Hanby may 13, 1827
Biggs Amy (b 9/1841)
Biggs William (b 11/19/1862
Biggs Mary Elizabeth (1/23/1863)
Biggs Margaret (5/27/1867
Biggs Silas Ulyses (10/12/1868)
Biggs Sarah Jane (8/30/1869)

In researching online, via Ancestry, these same individuals seem to show up as Hanby rather than Biggs. I'm not sure what the interrelationship is, but I'm almost thinking that Cyrus (1827) MIGHT have had kids with both Amy and Hannah?? I'm going to go diving in the library for some obituaries that I hope will clear some things up. So, if you have a death date for any of these individuals, please let me know.

Ultimately, I'm trying to trace back to a woman named Mary Caroline (Biggs/Hanby) that becomes Mary Boggs and then becomes Mary Woods. A mess, right??

NEWSPAPER ARTICLE BEAVER FALLS:
WACLAW POWEDZENSKI, aged 39, of 1704 Fifth Avenue, Beaver Falls, was fatally injured about nine o'clock Saturday night (30Oct1929) when struck by an automobile driven, police say, by Peter Dotre of 508 Sixth Avenue, Beaver Falls. The man was rushed to the Providence Hospital where he died at 5:25 o'clock Sunday morning as a result of a fractured skull. The accident occurred at the intersection of Sixteenth Street and Sixth Avenue, Beaver Falls.

The driver of the car that killed Zygmund of Beaver Falls was PETER DOTRE and was born in Cosenza ITALY as per his 1942 draft registration. Cosenza is located on mainland Italy at the very tip of the boot of Italy - the closest point on Italy to the island of Sicily. Cosenza Italy was the home of the 'Ndrangheta Crime family, a syndicate family documented in Pennsylvania court records as strong arming emigrant workers in PA mining towns as early as 1906. PETER DOTRE is documented as a restaurateur in Beaver Falls (1930 census) and owner of DOTRE'S MEN SHOP (1942 WWII draft registration form).

Anecdotal family lore alleges the "BLACK WATCH STREET GANG" was involved in Zygmund's demise.

Anyone ever heard of MAFIA or the "BLACK WATCH STREET GANG" in Beaver Falls circa 1929 - great depression>
I am trying to find information regarding my great-grandfather. I know next to nothing about him. I have a photograph of him as a young man that was possibly taken sometime around 1890 by J. Maynard Williamson in New Brighton, Pa. He was born in 1867 and died in 1892, both probably in Pennsylvania. He married Cora B. Funkhouser, the daughter of George Dallas Funkhouser of New Brighton, Pa., and fathered one child, Charlotte Belle Schenk, who was born the same year that he died, 1892. Charlotte is my maternal grandmother, and I have a picture of her as an infant that was taken by JA Bodie in Honesdale, Pa., so I am guessing that he lived in that area at about the time of his death. I have been unable to find any documentation about him. No birth or death certificates, no marriage license, and no birth certificate for my grandmother, Charlotte Belle Schneider. If anyone has any knowledge of him, I would appreciate your assistance. Thank you. Mary Stetzel

Are there any Rowley's out there in Beaver county area? I know in the 1910 census a direct relative lived in the Raccoon area of Beaver county. My 2nd greatgrandfather Osburn Rowley was living with Ashbel Rowley and that is where we lost track of Osburn . We assume he died while on his visit but we can't find a death cert or funeral info. I am pretty desperate to get these pieces to the puzzle.
