I just recently learned that my g-g-grandmother was a Fombelle. She was Elvira Fombelle born in 1847 in France. Her obituary says she was born in Fombell,PA. Her parents were from Paris, France. They settled in Beaver Co.,PA and Fombell,PA was established. They had a ranch there. Their names were Alexander Fombelle and Eunice Magaw Fombelle. I hope there is a connection but that is all the information I can offer at the moment.
