I have found it is hit or miss with showing up at the Calvary office or calling. Sometimes they are very helpful, sometimes downright nasty! One woman yelled at me because she "got her hands dirty" digging through the old files.
I have a few (old ones) that are missing also, their death records from the Pgh City Death records 1870-1905 say they were buried in St. Mary's. When I called Calvary for one of these the man I spoke with could find no record (he is not in the online records either). He told me--off the record-- there were cases of old graves with no markers being re sold. I find that disturbing.
Another time I called for people buried in a specific plot in Calvary, the man gave me like two names, said there were more BUT wanted me and my husband to come in to office before he would give me the rest of the info. I assume to try to sell us a plot.
Ray--you can shop around at other places if you are interested in purchasing a marker for Calvary. We did that for my husband's 4 great aunts who are buried in a plot there. Found a much better price. You don't have to use Calvary to purchase the marker. Although they do have some rules on what can and cannot be placed on a marker so they require an approval of the design. The woman who did the one for the aunts told us they had one with an engraving of a beer can denied LOL.
